I bought one of these six years ago for my 10 WaterBricks (35 gallons at 3.5 gallons each). Then after five years, I dutifully bought another and replaced all my water, treating them again. The instructions are needlessly long, but could be helpful to people new to the concept of long-term water storage, advising the type of container to use and why the product is better than household bleach. Though designed for one 55 gallon drum, instructions include 8 drops per gallon, which is useful if you aren't using a drum. Instructions are only in English, but the English is perfect. We've used treated water for road trips and could not detect any flavor at all.

Good Product - Recommend ?yes?
This is a good product and very convenient. The only problem was the bottles had some slight leakage during shipping. This leaking ruined the instructions but it?s ok we got what we needed on website. Note to waterpreserver.com, pack the instructions outside the plastic bag.

works, save your money
this is just bleach, save your money. Product does what it says. Active ingredient is sodium hypochlorite, just bleach.

Great purification product!
The only way to safely store water for long term and be confident of the results
I have heard of bleach methods but the water preserver concentrate seemed more desirable from my perspective.
We used 7 gallon cubes with the according number of drops for purification.
With a little room in the container we have accounted for expansion and are good to go!
Safe for emergency cooking and drinking if something bad were to happen.

Just what I was looking for...
I'm no expert on water storage so this is a good solution for me. Hope I never have to find out how well it works.

55 Gallon Water Preserver Concentrate 5 Year Emergency Disaster
I have heard from other people (that are educated about preparedness) that this is a
'must have' item for storing water safely for several years.
My bottle of water preserver came on time and it is lightweight.
It should be very useful for my water storage.

Emergency Use
I have not tried the product, I intend to use it in an emergency in the future. I placed it in my earthquake emergency kit. I think Californians should consider this specially if you have kids or elderly in the family.

Does what it claims..
This product is easy to use and does what it claims. My only word of caution is that this product does have an experation date so plan to use it within a few months of purchase. Other than that, great purchase!

A must for disaster planning
If you have decent water now, buy this and a water safe 55 gallon drum, and dump the entire contens into the barrel first, fill, seal, and label drinking water exp 5 years down the road. For a family of 4, that's roughly a 2 week alternative to drinking fecis, and bug laden city water after a full scale power outage, man made, or natural disaster.

Easy to use
Easy to use, however I don't know if it works. I'll let you know in 5 years. I started with good DISTILLED water and not crappy floride filled tap water.

need 5 yrs to give it 5 stars
since i just put this in, can't really say whether its really working or not. if this review is still available about 5 years from now, i will let you know if the water preserver actually works. just a FYI, i cleaned out my 50 gallon water drum with a little bleach initially and rinsed over and over again. i then got about 5 gallons of purified water (reverse osmosis) per day out of my home system over a 10 day period to fill up the whole drum, then added this solution. so in reality, should be good after 5 years, but who knows until we re-open and pump some water to test. i will say easy to use.

WATER PRESERVER
tHE 55GAL. WATER PRESERVER CONCENTRATE IS A MUST FOR ANY LONG TERM STORAGE. I HAVE ADDED MINE TO MY STORAGE DRUM THE DAY I GOT IT. I SEE THAT THE BOTTLE HAS AN EXP. DATE OF ONLY A YEAR. THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR THOSE OF US THAT WOULD LIKE TO ADD THIS TO OUR WATER STORAGE RIGHT AFTER A DISASTER.
